Assistant Professor of Law

Geiza Vargas-Vargas joined the Charleston School of Law Faculty in Fall 2009.  She brings a wealth of corporate law and business experience.

Since 2007, Vargas-Vargas served as a business advisor to a boutique investment and financial services firm focused on international ventures.  She also worked with small business-startups and nonprofits in New York.  She has three years of experience in corporate law as an associate with the New York law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where she practiced structured finance. 

Prior to law school, Vargas-Vargas worked on commercial real estate acquisitions at AEW Capital Management, LP in Boston and at Newmark & Company, Inc. (c/k/a Newmark Knight Frank) in New York.  In her career, she has worked on more than $4 billion of deals involving mergers and acquisitions, more than $6 billion of structured finance transactions and $2 billion of real estate transactions.
