HOLIDAY GIFTS
Second-year student Evan Watson hoists one of more than 30 new bikes that are holiday gifts for elementary students at a nearby school. Members of the Black Law Students Association and the Children's Law & Family Rights Society collected more than 1,200 gifts that were delivered by Santa, Charleston fire-fighters and students on Dec. 11.

WILKINS SPEAKS AT CSOL
Chief Judge William W. Wilkins of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit on Sept. 14 delivered a major speech on legal, political and social implications of the death penalty in modern society. More.

STUDENTS MEET BIDEN

REVERSE MENTORING

SCHOLARSHIP WINNER
Second-year student Sabrina Williams, center, in April won a $1,000 scholarship from the National Association of Women Judges during a program sponsored by the NAWJ and Black Law Student Association. The NAWJ's "Color of Justice" program seeks to encourage girls and minority high school students to consider pursuing careers in the law and judiciary. MOOT COURT TRIP

SCTLA AWARD

The S.C. Trial Lawyers Association presented a $5,000 check to the school's foundation recently. Pictured above are SCTLA Executive Director Linda Franklin, SCTLA President Gerald Malloy, S.C. Circuit Judge Casey Manning and Dean Richard Gershon. The award came from funds left over from a portrait of Manning commissioned by SCTLA.

AGREEMENT SIGNED
